Operating Purpose
2The construction subcommittee was formed in 2016 to make use of the opportunity when the “Construction Room” was formed which specializes in construction BIM. Use of BIM in construction by Japanese contractors currently are world leading, so the committee aims to spread this knowledge globally while increasing productivity of the construction industry as a whole by coordinating advanced IT technologies (such as IoT and AI) with BIM.
Activities
We are collecting case studies of BIM being used to increase productivity in construction sites. Also, aiming to increase interoperability by spreading the use of IFC data to IT and IoT. The construction subcommittee welcomes to the participation of construction and IT related companies aiming to use BIM data.
