Civil engineering model view definition and compatible software list
In the CIM implementation guideline, data delivery of CIM models are made in IFC format. In the civil engineering committee, the civil engineering model view definition which focuses on data sharing of 3D shape files and external reference files are formulated according to the CIM implementation guideline.
Currently, data delivery through IFC based on the civil engineering model view definition are being dealt by individual software vendors. For the time being, software compatible with IFC import/exports submitted from each software vendor are listed.
The Civil Engineering Committee is preparing for the implementation of IFC Qualification to increase precision of data sharing and to promote usage in practice by cooperating with the Technology Integration Committee since April 2017. At the same time, implementing the testing of data inputs and outputs through IFC are being planned by the Civil Engineering Committee.
